How is my loan rate determined?

When LBS Financial obtains your credit score during the pre-approval process, the Credit Union will determine your loan rate based on your past financial history and credit. Take note that the Credit Union must obtain your credit report personally; they will not accept copies of credit reports from third parties.

What are the steps I need to take to get a loan?

Fill out an online application, or come see us at any branch.

How long does it take to get an answer on my loan request?

We process most applications within one business day. Applications received over the weekend or holidays are processed the next business day. You may check your status by calling us.

What happens when I pay off my loan?

LBS Financial will release the lien and the DMV will print and mail the title to the last known address of the person with the loan.

Do my loan payment habits affect my credit score?

Yes. On time payments mean a higher credit score. LBS Financial reports borrower, co-borrowers, guarantors, and co-signers payment habits to all three major credit bureaus: Experian, Equifax and TransUnion.

How do I make a payment?

You have options. You can use our Mobile or Online Banking services to pay from one of your accounts at LBS Financial. Use Mobile Deposit within Mobile Banking to take a picture of a check from your other financial institution and apply to your loan payment here. You can also transfer money from another financial institution using LBS Autopay or a number of Bill Pay services from other financial institutions. Mail us a payment or call and pay by phone, just keep in mind there are fees for paying by phone.

How do I get pre-approved?

For a loan pre-approval good for up to 60 days, apply online, visit any branch, or give us a call.

New or used vehicle loan amount may not exceed 100% MSRP including taxes plus and license, PLUS warranty up to $2,500 for 2 wheel drive and $3,000 for 4 wheel drive, GAP up to $1,000 and pre-paid maintenance up to $1000. Some restrictions apply. A loan at 3.00% APR for 66 months will have a monthly payment of $16.45 per $1,000 borrowed or a $329.10 monthly payment based on an amount financed of $20,000.

***APR=Annual Percentage Rate. Loan rate and percent financed is based on LBS Financial credit approval. All loans exclude add-on insurance. The actual rate you receive is determined by a combination of factors; including credit qualifications, loan amount, collateral, down payment and terms. We may add an additional 1% to the published rate for first time buyers.

Guaranteed Asset Protection

Guaranteed Asset Protection (GAP)

During the first few years that you own your vehicle, the loan balance can be higher than the actual value of your vehicle, as a result of depreciation. As your vehicle’s value declines, your loan balance can be significantly higher. If your vehicle is stolen, or totaled in an accident, you would be liable to pay the difference between your insurance settlement and your outstanding loan balance. GAP Advantage covers the difference (or “gap”) between what you owe on the vehicle and what it is worth.

GAP Advantage covers the difference between the market value of your vehicle and the loan balance, less delinquent payments, late charges, refundable service warranty contracts and other insurance related charges

In the event a deficiency exists, our program will cover your insurance deductible up to $1,000*

For Example:

Your vehicle’s actual cash value	$13,000
Less your deductible	$1,000
Insurance settlement	$12,000
Loan balance after one year	$15,000
Insurance Settlement	$12,000
GAP Advantage Pays	$3,000

Without GAP Advantage coverage, you would be required to pay this $3,000 in order to pay off your loan balance.

*With GAP Advantage, an additional $1,000 benefit is provided when the following conditions are met:
